The Wait is Over (Almost)
The time has come. You are invited to join us for the announcement of the winner of the second annual Robert Gray prize for poetry on Monday 9 November at 8pm. 5Islands Press Managing Editor Mark Tredinnick will host an online event in which the winner of the prize, and the five commended poets, will be announced. Hear what our judging panel has to say about the wealth of quality poems that we received, and hear some of the poets who wrote them read their work. This will be a feast of poetry worthy of the great Australian poet in whose honour we established the prize. Be there and be amongst the first to learn who is this year's winner.
Our heartfelt thanks to our judging panel--Judith Nangala Crispin, Gareth Sion Jenkins and Tegan Gigante--who took on the formidable task of selecting a single winner from a host of high-quality entries.
