We are very pleased to announce an addition to the 5Islands Press team. Nancy Joy has joined us as an intern. Nancy is currently pursuing a masters degree in creative writing, publishing and editing at the University of Melbourne. Her editorial training includes the completion of courses in copy-editing and structural editing; as a writer, she has worked across a range of genres, including fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry. Booranga Bonanza
5 Islands Press authors Kai Jensen and Elizabeth Walton will be the featured poets at the monthly Booranga Writers Centre poetry reading on Friday 17 April. By a very happy coincidence, Australian Book Review chose to publish Mark Tredinnick's excellent essay on Robert Gray in the same week as 5 Islands Press opened submissions the 2026 Robert Gray Prize for poetry.
