Tegan Gigante
Tegan Gigante is a poet, performer and publisher based on Dja Dja Wurrung country in Central Victoria.
She powers the micro press Birdfish Books, works on freelance editing and typesetting projects, and has facilitated the regular Castlemaine community poetry event PoetiCas for over a decade.

The author of two poetry collections, I Will Not Fall (2013) and All Things Flow (2019), she writes of our entangled contemporary relationship to land, and is passionate about the capacity of the lyric to heal and reconnect our human stories to the non-human lives that sustain us.
She completed a Master’s degree in the UK with a thesis on her theory of traditional poetics, and currently programs a monthly lecture series for the Bendigo Philosophical Society. Tegan also creates a weekly radio show on her local community radio, and is a traditional storyteller with a penchant for trickster tales.
She lives in her beloved Box-Ironbark forest with many magnificent species of birds and other creatures of the wild.
